Well, something keeps bringing you back to it and it doesn't sound like it's the experience itself. I think the first step is finding out what that reason is.
Maybe you are really just doing it out of habit to avoid feeling empty. In that case, it might be time to look for something else that fills that hole in your soul. Preferably not drugs or other distractions.
But if there is still some kind of genuine interest, try to focus on that. To keep doing something, I often had to cut out some parts or shift my priorites. For example, I was ready to give up vidya, because it had become an unfulfilling waste of time. But now I enjoy it mainly as a way of socializing with other people.
Once you know why you are doing something, it's easy to decide how you are going to engage with it.
